Maine Emergency Dental Access Providers during the Covid-19 Public Health Emergency

Dental offices have been advised to remain open only for emergency services at this time. The sites on this map are options for Mainers with urgent oral health needs who do not have a dental home. All of these sites offer affordable sliding fee self-pay options as well as MaineCare and commercial insurance.

If a person is already an established patient with a dental provider, we recommend first calling that provider to discuss options for an urgent appointment before calling another provider. Most dentists are taking emergency calls from existing patients.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

If the closest dental provider is too far away for you to travel to them, try giving them a call anyway as they may be able to provide helpful advice over the phone. They may also be able to refer you to another provider closer to your location. You can also call your Primary Care Provider for assistance.

This map was produced and is maintained by the Partnership for Children’s Oral Health (modeled on a similar map created by the North Carolina Oral Health Coalition).
